1973 in Hamm-Westfalen geboren, lebt und arbeitet Tina Oelker seit 1995 in Hamburg. Im Alter von 15 bis 20 nimmt sie Unterricht für Moderne Malerei, Form-und Farblehre und studiert 94´und 95´in NYC. An der HAW schließt sie 2004 ihr Studium mit dem Motiv des Feldhasen ab und eröffnet ihre erste Produzentengalerie mit dem Schützenfest in der Hamburger Milchstrasse. 2010 – 2014 kuratiert sie regelmäßig Ausstellungen mit insgesamt über 200 Künstlern und schließt das Projekt 1000 Hasen und das HAFENTOR7 an den Hamburger Landungsbrücken mit dem Schützenfest-Reloaded ab. Nach ihrem Rückzug folgen die Gesellschaftsabende zunächst in ihrem Studio und seit 2021 performed und improvisiert Tina auch auf größeren Bühnen. Ihre Lyrik und Prosa ergänzen ihr Werk auf abstrakte Weise, ohne es selbst zu erklären. Sie veröffentlicht mit „Hasen und Göttern“ eine Zusammenfassung ihres komplexen Werkes, 2023 folgen die „Arbeitsnotizen einer Malerin“.

Tina Oelker verbindet Gegensätze und nutzt duale Sichtweisen als Treibstoff für ihre Form-und Farbkompositionen. Sie haben diese erdige Leichtigkeit und es kommt einem irgendwie vertraut vor. Jeder Strich erinnert an einen Ursprung, der fern von zweidimensionalen Denk-oder Lebensweisen liegt. Die Künstlerin selbst ist ebenso sofort präsent, sie ist einfach da, die Frequenz ist hoch und die Dinge sind direkt auf den Punkt. Ihre lyrischen Texte und Gedichte sprechen die gleiche Sprache wie ihre Bilder. Tina Oelker ist im klassischen Sinn avantgardistisch. Ihre persönlichen Geschichten sind ihr Lehrmeister, und eins wird klar, ihre harte Schule begann „früh genug“. Es ist eine Frage der Zeitlosigkeit, der Wille, sich von einer linearen Vorstellung von Erfolg zu lösen, um etwas Neues zu schaffen. Die Tatsache von 1000 Hasen, die Meisterschaft, die Lust am Wechsel von einer Disziplin zur nächsten verschafft Tina Oelker eine unendliche Fülle an bereits Geschaffenem und ebenso an Möglichkeiten. Born in Hamm-Westphalia in 1973, Tina Oelker lives and works in Hamburg since 1995. From the age of 15 to 20 she takes lessons in modern painting, form and colour theory and studies 94’and 95’in NYC. She graduates from the HAW in 2004 with the motif of the field hare and openes her first producer gallery with the Schützenfest in Hamburg’s Milchstrasse. 2010 – 2014 she regularly curates exhibitions with a total of over 200 artists and concludes the project 1000 Hasen and the HAFENTOR7 at Hamburg’s Landungsbrücken with the Schützenfest-Reloaded. After her contemplation, social evenings follow, initially in her studio, and since 2021 Tina is performing and improvising also on larger stages. Her poetry and prose complement her work in an abstract way without explaining it itself. She publishes „Hares and Gods“, a summary of her complex work, followed by „Arbeitsnotizen einer Malerin“ in 2023.

Tina Oelker combines opposites and uses duality as fuel for her shape and colour compositions. They have this earthy lightness and somehow seem familiar. Each stroke recalls an origin that is far removed from two-dimensional ways of thinking and living. The artist herself is just as immediately present, the frequency is high and things are straight to the point. Her lyrical texts and poems speak the same language as her paintings. Her personal stories are Tina´s teacher and one thing becomes clear, her hard school began „early enough“. It is a question of timelessness, of the will to break away from a linear idea of success in order to create something new. The fact of 1000 Hares, the mastery, the passion to switch from one discipline to the next provides Tina Oelker with an infinite wealth of what she has already created and also of possibilities.
