TOPIA is a radically fragmentary abstract body of work. Developed step by step between August 2024 and February 2026, it consists of 25 modules. Each functions as an autonomous fragment and reveals its full potential only within the fixed overall constellation. The process of reordering, calibrating, and keeping the work open throughout its development is central – fragmentation becomes the creative principle. The completed painting is a conscious snapshot of an ongoing artistic dialogue, documented in parallel through the Veracity Report. From the tension between the autonomous modules emerges a dynamic that extends far beyond a mere juxtaposition of fragments. With the placement of the 25th module, TOPIA becomes complete as one coherent painting.
